What do you say to your elderly neighbor when they show you the fraudulent N95 mask they bought online?
Repeat after me: just because it says FDA somewhere on the product or packaging does NOT mean the mask has been authorized or approved by the FDA. 🙄
It also doesn’t mean that the FDA has ever seen a single document or piece of clinical data submitted for that mask.
The market is drowning in masks, and it can be very difficult to tell if you are getting what you pay for, so I have put together this quick, 5 minute video about how you can determine if those $5 masks are really NIOSH certified.
It may not stop your neighbor from buying and wearing a fraudulent N95 mask, but at least you’ll know what to look for when buying your own.
